Personal Moves

All household goods moves are categorized by the distance between your current residence and your new one.  Cook also offers additional services related to moving. The five different service categories associated with most Personal moves and a brief description of each is listed below. 

• Local: A local move is a move from one residence/storage area to another within in a radius of 40 miles.
• Long Distance: A long distance move is a move from one residence/storage area to another that is a distance greater than 40 miles away.  There are commonly two different types of Long Distance moves, Interstate, which are moves going from one state to another, and Intrastate which are moves within the same state.
• International: A move in which you are traveling outside the contiguous 48 states.  Moves to Alaska and Hawaii are handled as International moves.
• Storage:  We offer storage services for any type of move, both long term and short.
• Packing:  We offer a professional packing service for nearly everything, from china and glassware to pictures, mirrors and lamps, we can even build a specialized crate for large/heavy fragile items such as granite, marble and glass.
